Poly Pigs provide a fast, simple and economical way to clean water mains and restore C factors. The pig works like a hydraulic ram to remove deposits and tuberculation from the main. They can be launched in a line through an existing fire hydrant or by removing a section of the main. This bullet-shaped pig, made of resilient high density polyurethane foam, is capable of reducing itself up to 65% when traveling through badly tuberculated sections of water mains and fittings, and is capable in some cases of passing through partially opened gate valves.
